Scrap Whisper

A long time ago I started a Scrap Whisper over at  The Boxx. We have finally finished it and now it's time to upload! Funny how from start to finish a layout can change so much but that is the whole idea....to see how people interpret something so different!

So here's my layout. ( I was 3rd after Bridgette) please excuse the dodgy photo....couldn't be bothered taking another one!

"His Favourite Photo"
Here is a close up of the fabric roses that I have made....

This was my Dad's favourite photo of Olivia, he had it printed out everywhere! It was also by fluke that we got this shot.....she was in a dark playground tunnel and Dave just pointed the camera and we got this amazing pic on film!

It's also my turn to set the fortnightly challenge at Scrapboxx and I want your layout to have a Spring feel to it......so lots of flowers, trees and sunshine and some journalling about why you and/or your family love Spring.

You have until the 29th to get your entries in to win a $10 Scrapboxx voucher in the shop!

Have a great weekend....I have my one and only aunty staying for the weekend, so we are going to have lots of fun!

Camp Mojo Challenge 02

Next year I am lucky enough to be attending Camp Mojo!
Here is last month's colour challenge that was set. You could only use White, Blue and red.

"Tiny Dancer"
The blue flowers were a horrible shade of purple so I sprayed them with glimmermist....gotta love glimmermist! I also didn't have any white cardstock at the time so painted a piece of cardboard.
Voting is still on at the moment so wish me luck!

August Scrapboxx newsletter

Wow! It's that time again and the new Scrapboxx newsletter is out already!

This month the design team girls had to do an interpretation on Expressionism paintings and after much searching here is the one I chose.....
and here is my version of it......

I am actually very happy with how it turned out! I had a great time playing with paints and glue and is so much different to my 'usual' style.
So go check it out and see the other fantastic layouts that the design team girls did....loads of inspiration in this newsletter!

I also did a layout for the "Camp Mojo" retreat I'm attending next year. They are doing montthly challenges to keep the mojo flowing!

This is the one for last month that was a sketch challenge......here is my interpretation of the sketch which I stayed pretty true to.

Unfortunately I didn't win but there were some fantastic entries from the other girls. There is a new one on now which is just about ready for voting so fingers crossed for me x

Some toots.....I had 2 lo's picked up by Scrapbook Creations this week and one for Scrapbooking Memories and one from Scrapbooking.com magazine for an article, (my first American publish!) No money though LOL!

That's all for now folks!

Scrapboxx Newsletter is OUT!!!!!

Yeah! the new Scrapboxx newsletter is finally out!!!! With a change of ownership things have gotten a little behind but the lovely Jane will soon get it back on track!!!

Here is my contribution to the July issue......A Fauvism challenge! A what ? you say! It's a style of painting that many artists did  (don't ask me to name any either LOL!! - Google it !)

This is the painting I chose to interpret......

And here is my example........

I thought this was going to be a real struggle for me but once I got started I was on a roll and it was fun to play with paints again!

There is a challenge on The Boxx  to have a go at your own interpretation of a FAUVISM painting .
Would love to see what you can create and put up Here, you have until the 20th of August.
Have fun creating....I hope to get a little done this weekend sometime.......
