I decided to use the photo of my youngest daughter, Ella, throwing autumn leaves up in the air. She was having so much fun – hence the title – while her older sister was rock climbing.
Supplies
•Alphabet/Letters: chipboard (Heidi Swapp); stickers (October Afternoon)
•Cardstock: Kraft•Embellishments: flowers, leaves (Prima Marketing); pearls from vintage necklace; buttons
•Ink: Pinecone (Versa Ink)
•Other/Misc: masking tape
•Patterned paper: Origins, Nook and Pantry (BasicGrey); Vintage Script (Webster’s Pages)
•RibbonInstructions
1. Ink around the edges of the Kraft cardstock.
2. Cut a 20x 28 cm piece of BasicGrey paper and ink around the edges. Place in the centre of the cardstock.
3. Cut a 5cm strip and tear one edge on an angle and ink. Cut two strips of different patterned paper and place 2/3rds of the way down the page.
4. Using a 5 x 7 inch photo, matt with the plain reverse colour of another BasicGrey sheet; distress edges and machine stitch a border to give definition.
5. Tear some vintage paper into strips, ink and place underneath the edges of your photo randomly.
6. Place the larger of your embellishments closest to the photo and stagger the smaller ones diagonally towards the corners. Randomly place a few buttons in matching colors.
7. Add a couple of layers of ribbon of different lengths along the bottom of the photo.
8. Add some pearl sprigs coming outward from the flowers.
9. Add your title to one corner of the paper strips.
10. Place strips of masking tape along the bottom of the photo in the opposite corner to write your journaling on.
11. Cut out some butterflies from patterned paper and place above embellishments on foam tape to give added depth.
So that was quite exciting for me to be asked by an American online magazine to be published!
Next one was just published in Scrapbook Creations Vol 09 No 07.
I did this layout in November last year so it's amazing it's only being published now!
Will be back in the next couple of days with my letsgetshabby entry for the month.
Love E x
