More Layouts........

Thought it was time for another Layout share...........mind you these are all pre-knitting!

This is my beautiful family......Using the new Cosmo Cricket PP's (Love these!)

This is Olivia on her 7th Birthday.......using a Miss Pearce Technique of using up lots of Chipboard letters

I Love this one! Love the photo, the colours and the old Enid Blyton book I ripped up ( which Olivia told me off for!)

Just a quickie one using up some stuff in the cluster .

I have a few more but they got picked up for publishing!!!

I have also been doing a little more scrapping so will share those when I take photos of them!

Have a great weekend!

It's Finished!!!!

This is what I've been up to and the reason I haven't been scrapping much lately! I have taken up a new hobby called "KNITTING!!!!!!" Dave and everyone calls me Granny now but I have really enjoyed doing something different.

I haven't knitted since I was about 12 years old and then I only finished half a sleeve on a jumper!!! So I took up the challenge to make some scarves for us when we go to NZ in August and also to teach Olivia to knit....then I saw this design in Spotlight for this Throwrug and I knew I had to make it. This took me about 3 weeks to do .....not bad for a beginner I reckon?

When I finish the scarves I'll upload them too!

Went to Nth Stradbroke Island for Easter ,so I'll do an update with some piccies for that soon!

Bye! E x

Layouts.......

Wow!! 2 posts in 2 days !!!

I have some layouts to share, some you may have seen before, some are NEW! My non-scrappy friends will NOT have seen them!! LOL!!

This is one I did at the Scrapboxx Retreat. I only did one of the classes and I chose to do the lovely Mardi's class using "shrinkies", but I didn't do any shrinkies! I love Mardi's use of colours and design! This one I finished off at home using a bit of my own stuff.

This is another one from Mardi's class ...once again I didn't do the shrinkie thing as I felt it didn't really go with the beachy theme.

This Lo is a challenge from the retreat by Nikala.....She gave us some cover papers (hence the little squares) a grungeboard number and the swing tag...... This is what I came up with .......
These two are just my own ones I did at the Retreat while everyone else was doing classes!!!!

These are a couple that are in the latest Scrapbooking Memories (Thanks Tam!) :)
I love this one ! I think because it's so bright!

This one is of Mum and I.

I have lots more layouts to share but I think that will do for now ....don't want to bore you!!!! LOL!!

See ya ...and please leave a comment so I know you've been !

Scrapboxx Retreat 2009

A couple of weeks ago I travelled to Western Australia for a scrapbooking retreat!! (Yeah crazy I know!!!!
I'm a bit slow with the photos but I haven't been able to access Dave's computer to get them!
Needless to say I had an absolute BALL!!!!! The girls I go with are a scream and there is always so much laughter and fun.

I arrived in Perth at about 12.30 am! and the bus from the motel eventually picked me up! So I got to the motel room at about 1.15am and snuck into bed with Donna!!! LOL!!
The next morning The Boxx bus picked us up and we started the 4 1/2 hour journey south to Augusta!

This is the WELCOME sign as you drive through Augusta and is always a stop off point.....

This is the view from my scrapping area! Pretty awesome huh!

It was Friday the 13th when we arrived so of course the Dress-Up theme was "Freaky Friday"! ( I didn't dress up....I hate dressing up!)
This is our mottley lot! R to L .... Peta, Jodie, Bridgette, Debbie, Donna, Anna, Tam, Nikki and not sure who is the last one?
This was the view from our little accomodation....Sunday morning I got up and did a walk along the river for 40 mins !
My Gorgeous roomies.....Tatum, Tammie, Me and Bridgette, who I met for the first time, she is a very lovely chick!

The gorgeous, kind and funny Jodie! The very talented Tatum who had only 6 weeks to go before baby no4!The lovely Debbie! The delightful Donna! Some other funny girls....Peta had me in almost hysterics all weekend !! and my beautiful friend Tam!

This is all of us with Mardi who is a lovely person too...wish I had got to talk to her more! And another with Tammy T who won a trip to the retreat for scrapping the new Scrapboxx ad!

I actuall did some sightseeing this time again too..the lovely Ness took us for a bit of a whirlwind tour of Augusta and over to the lighthouse. This is where the two oceans meet......the Southern ocean and the Indian ocean and is a very popular whale watching spot!

Us lot with Maria before we begin our mammoth joorney back to Perth!

I went to the Scrapboxx retreat and I took....... a paper trimmer, A ruler , CFM boots, a camera, water, a birthing kit.............................................LOL!!!!!!

We stopped in Bunbury for some Fish'n Chips and met up with Sheree and Kel again.

A lovely Western Australian sunset taken in the bus .......

I had a fantastic time and can't wait to do it all again in a couple of years this time!

Thanks girlies!! Love you all!

Welcome......

to the world Miss Layla Jazmin Fennis.

Isn't she just beautiful? She was born last Thursday 26.2.2009 @ 6.30 am weighing 7lb 8oz. They have only just named her yesterday and haven't decided on her middle name either!!! (no hurry guys ...you get 60 days!!!)

We went and saw Emily in the Royal Women's Hospital last Sunday.

The brown bear in the background is what we gave her and as they had no name for her then they were calling her "Gilbert" (don't ask?) So we named the bear Gilbert in memoriam of her time as a Gilbert!

And finally a photo with Aunty Elise! I have 4 nieces now! (and not much chance of ever having a nephew!!!)

Will post some family photos next time we are down to see them.

Congratulations Ewan and Emily and Maizie!!!!!!!!!

Love Elise
