This is our campsite.....we camped at Waddy Point, which has a dingo fence around it. We saw 5 dingos all up and most were on the beach at night!
We also got an extra large awning made up (which arrived the day before Christmas!) that gave us alot of extra room !!!
This is what Santa gave the girls for Christmas this year....they loved it!!!! So much more comfortable for them to sleep in. Think I'm putting in a order for Santa next year!
Olivia received this for Christmas....she has a love of photography and snapped off a couple of hundred photos just on Christmas day!!! She took some good shots on holiday too.

We did the usual tourist sites, eg: Lake McKenzie, Central Station, Eli Creek etc but this was our favourite destination.....The North end of the Island, the Great Sandy Cape! It is like "paradise" so Olivia said. We went up here twice, the first time doing the walk to the light house. The second time doing just this......the water is so clear (photos don't do it justice!) we saw all sorts of things swimming past......heaps of dolphins chasing fish, a couple of turtles and a few mystery dark shapes which were probably noahs!!!!!!

We also had the shade made up for the side of the car which is excellent . Couldn't have done wihout it and it only takes a few minutes to put up and away.

On the way home we spotted these.....there were lots of them up the north end. Turtle tracks!

then further down we saw this! We had to be quick before she disappeared into the sea.

This is Waddy Point where there were the best rock pools and so many fish in them! Dave also went rock fishing around the other side a bit more and caught a Dart (which he ate!)The girls and Dave went swimming in the rock pools with the fish.

This is the girls swimming in Eli Creek....they got their surf mats for Christmas too and loved them especially Ella!

This is us canoeing (we brought it up with us!) on Ocean Lake.

On the way home there is a real trickybit of sand through Indian Head where you have to go flatout or you'll get bogged which we didn't want to do with a fully loaded car and the tide not in our favour! There were also some bumpy bits which loosened the canoe straps and then we discovered this had happened.......

A fishing rod holder had dislodged itself and went through the back windscreen! Luckily Dave had lots of tape handy! So we limped it back home, carefull not to lose all our gear!!!!
But we had an excellent time and took over 900 photos, some video too which I'm yet to see.
Happy New Year to all our friends and family that may read this .......I'll come back soon with a few Christmas day photos ......
Love E x
